Busy/Lazy

Initially wanted to spend some time blogging today...but ended up curling up in bed reading December's Cleo (have been 'puasa-ing' from buying for a loooong time...promised myself if I can abstain from throwing 5.60 for some magazine that I can better use for...um...something I need more..then I'll just buy myself a copy a year) ...enjoying the aircon while my sister is pigging away (she woke up awal awal pagi make lemon meringue pie..hahaha)

Left for a bbq event in Serendah with my sister's friends at around 5pm, reach home about 8+ with a headache...popped meds, bathed, slept and here I am...left with a little time with my PC... :P

Damn malas wanna layan the net at home ade sometimes. Syok syok ada syok syok takde....and I barely have much time at work to nicely sit down and write a decent blog post. When I do have time early morning in the office before my boss clocks in, I would be reading my Google reader or checking facebook...or other misc stuffs....and when I come back from work+dinner+mandi...it'll be late and I'd be spending time chatting with Quj or something until I remembered that I wanted to blog...and it'll be like 12-1am already.

So yeah....this poor thing is gonna get abandoned (again) for some time. Hope to get a chance to take photos of Christmas deco in KL Malls this time around again. Wonder how many malls I can cover this time while I'm in KL (3 of the weekends will be away from KL...haha)

Aih... :-\

On other less-bleh matters, I got my pocket money for the month already...and I'll be getting my paycheck next monday....weee~! Malaysia megasales+Chrismas+tight pocket=bad combo.. XD

No more yoga, seriously?

Remember my post last time about some random Professor from UKM saying that Muslims should stop practicing yoga in fear that they would deviate from teachings of Islam?

They've done it.

I woke up yesterday morning (amidst a stupid headache) to my sister laughing when she read the morning paper.

The National Fatwa Council has declared that yoga is haram (prohibited) in Islam and Muslims are banned from practising it.......Muslims, he said, were discouraged from practising yoga even as a form of exercise as it would ultimately lead to worshipping and chanting, which is against Islam.

Seriously. If your faith in Islam is so strong, why should this be a bother, or even a challenge to you? Gee...so 'ulu' la.

So what are those Muslims who've been practicing Yoga for so long, gonna do now? Really just quit? It's a lifestyle, not a religious thing for crying out loud!

You guys (the council) need better things to do.

So what's next? Tai chi and Qi gong? I can already see my ex-headmistress fuming if they're to take away Tai chi as well.

another Christmas thingy: The Given Gift

It's that time of the year again...Christmas is approaching and so students of MMU proudly present- another Christmas thingy: The Given Gift, a musical presentation by MMUCS.

Year after year, they've managed to produce an impressive performance, rather professional for mere students. And I do they will manage to impress us again this year.

So if you're not too busy with Industrial Training, mid-terms, or any other thing, do make yourself free for this night.

7.30pm, 10th December 2008

Do you...sometimes feel like you want/need some other people's opinion about something but know well what they would think of it, what they would answer, or their reaction to our asking such obvious question and knowing well that you yourself might be the only one that can answer your own question....in fact, you already know the answer. It's something only you would know best...

...I think I'll keep it to myself for now :3 /giggles

Good Morning :3

Yes, Good Morning...I'm in quite a good mood this morn. Dunno why. Maybe its cuz I drove my sis' car today (and going to tmr..and the day after)...maybe it was last nite's conversation :3 ...or the wonderful dinner...or maybe it was the encouraging email I got the moment I log on to outlook..ha!

So before the bosses strut in, lets splash some pics in this blog. Its totally dried up of pics lately.

My station at sis' place. Mah lovely little corner :P.
Yeah free wireless woot~

My table and PC at work :P
Yeah, that's the DS there

Office, where boss sits (left) and meeting room (that we never use, top left)
Fellow intern with almost the same name as mine, sits behind me (right)

Other interns that are with me, working on UG's stuff

My table again...working on Joomla

Things I hate bout working=public transport.
The people of Malaysia simply dunno how to queue.
4 lines for a pathetically small door on the bus? (they only open one side)...wow...

They all need this bars to tell them how to line up...sheesh..

View from watchtower when sis took me running (in the woods...sorta... x.x ) in Gasing

Same as above

Ok ok I better start working on my work stuff now...wakakaka...Ciao!~

Fuel on sale!

Yes, Fuel stations nationwide leads Malaysia's YES (Year End Sale) this time around, with fuel prices going down by 15 cents. According to The Star Online, pump price of RON97 petrol will be RM2 a litre from RM2.15 while the retail price of RON92 petrol and diesel is RM1.90 a litre.

So don't forget to forget to pump oil tonight, and wait till tomorrow (sarcasm) ...kek...

In the meantime, I'm still trying to find time to post up pics here...have 4-5 batches up and ready in my photobucket but just either too tired or too busy with something else. Totally piled up with work today, thankfully it's not sumthing I hate.

If only my boss kasi use Photoshop CS3 'ciplak' at my work PC.

Gasp!

All this while, Quj and I thought that to get from PJ-Puchong (vice versa), one has to get to town, then only get a bus to get to the other area. PJ and Puchong is actually....quite near to each other but because of the awsomeness of our nation's planning of our railway lines, none of them seem to cover this stretch. So instead, we have to go one huge circle, to get to each other's place.

Today as I was searching for the bus number to take back to my sister's from Pasar Seni, I spotted a bus that goes to Puchong (IOI Mall) from Kelana Jaya station.

.....gagagaga! All this while? Hahaha...

It better be for real. I'm so gonna test it out one day. Heh...

Yoga

Recently, lecturer Prof Zakaria Stapa of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Islamic Studies Centre advised Muslims who had taken up yoga to stop practising it for fear that they could deviate from the teachings of Islam.

First weekend :P

It's only when you start working that you start REALLY appreciating your weekends. Thank God my office only works 5 day week. Haha!

I got my first paycheck last Friday (wtf so fast rite? Well its only paycheck worth of 4 working days :P but its STILL paycheck!). Mum and dad gave me a fat 'first day of work' ang pau to buy a bit more working clothes....and...they even gave me my monthly allowance (THANK YOU!!!) for November :D So yeah. Happy happy me! :D

So what did I do on my first weekend of my 'working life' ? ...Obviously...SHOPPING LA! Hahahaha!

Made plans with QJ to meet up in Mid Valley...planned to leave earlier but this being the first day in 4 days I haven't had the need to jump out of bed at 7-ish in the morning....I (over)slept till 10-ish...If it wasn't QJ ringing me up....I'd prolly sleep till noon... /sheepish...had light breakfast before I get to MV but by the time I got there I was already starving! So...Carl's Junior for lunch! I had Super Star (i think) and QJ had his favourite: Bacon Swiss Crispy Chicken Sandwich (too bad no porky bacon..haha!)....I know I know I should have ordered Portobello Mushroom Burger...well I WOULD if I have plenty of money to throw! Besides...just had that last week... :P

After lunch, we went walking around a bit before I dragged him into a series of shops........... :P .....I'm so lucky to have a boyfriend who actually doesn't mind me dragging him to all these clothing shops all the time...and not to mention very helpful in fashion opinions too (I can see him sniggering at the corner there reading this line....yes sayang and for that I thank you... :3)....

Got myself another pair of skirt and 2 more tops. They didn't have the shade of brown I wanted for my pants (either that or the rack is full of size S =.= )....so after what seemed like forever...I was done with my shopping for today....and we head off to Big Apple for tea...(coffee actually...and donuts :P )...resting the poor feet.....then lepak abit around Gardens....and head to the ATM....yeah I was dry XD ....by that time it was around 5 and we both have our own dinner plans. I was supposed to meet up with my sis around 5.30pm and him back home for dinner...

5 hours zoomed by so quickly (ok maybe not so much for the times QJ had to wait for me to try out the clothes...sorry! >.< ). But felt so happy... :3 Next week: Lepak+Quantum of Solace! :D

So...on with dinner on my part... :D Sis and I met up with her friends, Ken and Josephine at Old Town, Jaya One. Had dinner...chatted awhile...and head off to PJEFC, just around the corner of the area. What were we doing there? Actually at the point of time, I had no idea. I just didn't feel like alone at home with the possibility of having sucky net and not able to chat/surf properly anyway...

Turns out, there was a play going on at the place. "Crazy little thing called love" -
collection of sketches pertaining to the themes of love, courtship, marriage and family relationships (description taken from their site), a play by Footstool Players . I really really enjoyed the show :D It was funny at parts, touching at some, and some parts really just made me cry. Thing is, some parts of the story really so reflect ourselves...so yeah.... Good job, Footstool Players.

Ok here's a lil free pimping for them (because they're just that darn good). Apparantly they've been doing quite a number of free performances for the past 2 months (on weekends) and today (Sunday) will be the last free performance they're having...here's the details:-
