Things I can't stand in Facebook

Or rather, ways ppl use Facebook that I can't stand. It's prolly just me tho...but sometimes I think that these ppl forget that they're actually shouting out loud in public when they post anything in Facebook.

Stop stealing my food, idiot.

Seriously now. Stop it. It's getting really really annoying. And childish (ok wait I forgot...you are one.)

The stupidity of our public transportation system

One of the things I hate most about our nation....is the level of inefficiency of our public transportation system...

Imagine...to get from my place to Melaka Sentral it takes almost an hour (if I stupidly ride from the other side of the road where the bus will take me throught one huge round around MITC and back to Bukit Beruang area)....and most of the busses are old and feels as if they're about to fall apart any given time. And they cost RM1.90 for the (barely) air-conditioned busses to get from MMU to Sentral...and if you're unlucky...you'll be stuck for a few hours cuz the damned bus broke down in the middle of the road (happened to me once just the other day...thank goodness William was there to save me :P )

After that...it's 2 1/2 hours ride to KL.

And then there's the 1/2 hour traffic jam to get from Sg. Besi tol to Pudu.

And the 10-15 mins walk to Pasar Seni LRT.

And 25 minutes train ride to my sister's place in Taman Bahagia

And then on one unfortunate day, the 1 hour wait for RapidKL bus from Taman Bahagia to my sister's to come...and the guy at the front of the queue had been waiting 1/2 and hour before I got there.

That's about 5 hours just to get from my house to my sister's...about the same time it takes for me to get from SP-KL

This is prolly one of those 'worst case scenario' days but still...for it to happen....geh. If I had driven, it'd only take me more or less than 2 hours for the same trip, but of course, I'd probably be taking shorter routes...

Still...the stupidness doesn't just stop on the road.

Puduraya is one hell of a hell-hole. Smack in the middle of town...the place often suffers traffic congestion. And one would think that since it's in the middle of town, and Pudu being the 'terminal' for people from all around Malaysia...or rather...a 'transit point'...to have accessibility to our railway services...but noooo....the nearest one is BEHIND Puduraya, at Plaza Rakyat...a godforsaken building which has been an abandoned project since god knows when. Awesome planning ain't it? That you rather have the line joining some stupid abandoned building rather than just on top/beside Pudu. I know it's not too far from Pudu but that's not the point. Since our beloved railway system is almost always unreliable...during one of these times where you have delays or breakdowns and it causes you to have to run for your life to 'chase your bus', that 'little' distance matters.

OK fine...if you insist on saying "But it's still connectable to a rail-line...rite?" ....for one, I dun use the 'STAR' line...more often than not I'll be using the 'Putra' line so I'll have to run 10 mins from Pasar Seni to Pudu anyway. So lets look at some other smartass planning....

Monorail Station at KL Sentral. The station's name is KL Sentral...but to get there, I have to cross the road, then go along a pavement...get up the escalator...THEN only I'm at the KL Sentral building. I mean...it's prolly only another 100-200m worth of rail to connect the damn monorail to the building itself so why is it not done? Cuz it feels freakin damn stupid that KL Sentral that's supposed to be the central point..connection...watever...is not actually connecting all the possible lines when all that needs to be done is another 200m worth of rail....seriously.

Another example...I curse the planners everytime my train stops at Abdullah Hukum station....cuz it freaking overlooks Mid Valley and EVERY FREAKIN TIME my train stops at this station....no one ever boards from, or gets off this station! Okay maybe there are people who use this station early in the morning but I'd say if you just bloody connect this to Mid Valley...SO MANY MORE PPL could use this public service rite? So everytime I wanna go Mid Valley...I have to first get off at KL Sentral...then wait for ages for KTM train to come and THEN only get to Mid Valley. And KTM train is one awful line that at any chance they get...refuse to follow their schedule. Imagine last week during Nats when QJ and I left Mid Valley an hour before our bus, confident that it's plenty of time to relax and slowly get to our busses....the damn service got delayed for half an hour...and as a result we had to run everytime we got off the damn train, and ran all the way from Pasar Seni to Pudu and arriving 5-10 minutes before our bus is scheduled to depart...ONLY to see that our damned bus TOO was late. GEE! So yea...if Putra line was directly connected to Mid Valley...we wouldnt have had to rely on the 'oh so reliable' KTM...

A few days in Singapore is enought to make me curse our transportation system kao kao...Their rail line is so clearly marked and so very awsomely conveniently I'm just....lost for words... <3! style="font-family: trebuchet ms;">

Ah...forgive the....incoherentness of this post...as well as any spelling errors or trouble understanding what I'm trying to convey...cuz it's 5am....and my head's slightly blur (but I can't bloody sleep) and I've been wanting to blog about this for ages....so I just wanted to get it out. Perhaps one day I'll construct it better =.=

On another note, I am and always will be proud of Melaka Sentral's bus station....it's so organized and air-conditioned (tho it's not so cold anymore these days) and stocked with McD and A&W etc etc...but shame that the floor bloody cracks left right and centre (it's actually quite scary...)

Nationals - the aftermath

Overall, I enjoyed myself there...but some assholes...I tell you....isk. Really makes me think if that's the reason girls dun like playing at such competitive level.

As expected, I was the only girl playing that day. There was another girl who qualified I think...but didn't take part. Hmmm...

I played 6 rounds in day 1, 1 round I got off bye (meaning there's no opponent cuz odd number bla so basically...I get to lepak while others are playing)...and practically crashed thru all of them...HAHA! ALMOST!! (but no I'm not dead last...wakakaka)... Blame me lazy not wanting to play a more efficient decks and insufficient practice at timed drafts. I felt the first 3 games of constructed, I've played the best I could but yeah....lack of practice...but yeah.

Enough gibberish that most readers here wouldn't understand.

What ticks me off is how this ass reacts to a mistake I made (my bad, but judges came and sorted it all out and I was given a warning...so fine!) and made a huge deal out of it, accusing me of qualifying for Nationals illegally...saying that QJ somehow cheated me in etc...to the point he went to confront QJ about this whole thing. Reason why he's so worked up? Because I'm the 75th person to qualify (last on the particular category to qualify) and his friend is #76 and he didn't qualify. Well...I'm sorry but don't push other's failures to blame ppl's success! Too bad la! The playgroup in Melaka is small so its no surprise that I can do better than the newer players here! Also...WHY BLAME ME ALONE? What bout those who've easily qualified higher on the list and chose not to play? That one lagi waste of space rite??? If I had qualified illegally, I don't think I'll dare show my face to play in Nats, you dumbass...what more with so little practice I had. Also...I'm not used playing in such a competitive level where some players (like you) are all dead shitty serious, no chats, and 'bitchy pissy faced' like someone stepped on your tail this morning...your attitude during gameplay with me...was like I owed you money and refuse to give it back. Gee...IT'S A GAME...we're supposed to be enjoying ourselves, eventho money is at stake.

You accuse me of cheating my way in because of my bad plays. Let me ask you this: IF I was a GUY...and IF I had played JUST as badly...or even worse...WOULD YOU HAVE QUESTIONED MY ELIGIBILITY OF QUALIFICATION??? No rite? You'll just brush me off as another lousy player yay too bad for you tehee lucky me.....it wouldn't even tick you off that I was number 75 to qualify and that your friend can't qualify...nevermind that it's only your friend's fault to not have qualified. GENDER DISCRIMINATION arse. And you 'pros' wonder why your girlfriends (I doubt you have one tho) all duwan play Magic...or refuse to play at this competitive level...If I see lansi ppl like dat all the time I oso duwan play la.

Thank God there's only 1 of you. At least I'm LUCKY to have ONLY met one of your kind.

Out of 6 games I played, 5 of them were really nice ppl. Especially my first few opponants, Peter and Ian. I really enjoyed playing with you guys :D (Peter asked me how I did thruout the day...which was really nice of him)...

QJ of course, fared much better than I did...hehe...9th out of 84 players in Malaysian Nationals 2009, you really made me proud. Its not Top 8, but its still an improvement from last year...and of course having people actually recognizing your work at MagicMalaysia.net, makes me even prouder and happier (eventho you dun really see it as much as I do :P)

Congratulations to Joe Soh on grabbing the top spot...you played really really well.

What did I get out of Nats? A very nice T-Shirt and bunch of random cards (most which I threw to Jia Yung cuz his friend wanted it :P )

Shud I try to qualify next year... /shrug...We'll see :P

391D broken into (yet again)

Most of you might have already known that my house in Melaka got broken into (again) during the hols. Didn't wanna blog bout it for fear Mum finds out about it but since she already did...so... /shrug ..so yeah. This is a very much delayed post.

Took all security precautions that we could have taken. Landlord even changed our back door to a more solid, reinforced one (with a latch on top where they can't reach in thru the damned window)...they managed to remove the back grill door's padlock...and since they can't open the latch of the wooden door from the window...they simply ram it until the latch gave way...resulting in a very badly damaged wooden door (they managed to broke the bottom part and cracked the middle part of it)....it puzzles me how the neighbour orphanage didn't hear the ruscus.

Our room doorknobs were easily picked....and the only doorknob which is safe enough (Razzman's)...they used my kitchen knife and hacked at his door near the lock....

Both QJ and my PCs were at home since it was a short sem and Navin was gonna be around for half of it (should have kept them at landlord's...I know)...bitches ransacked our cupboards drawers and everything...so after all the spring-cleaning I did before I left Malacca (so I don't have to do it when sem reopens), I had to do it all over again when I came back (which I only did this weekend). They didn't take our whole PC set...just QJ's 2 HDD (wtf rite?)...everything else, including the speaker+woofer and LCDs...

So far...all items stolen from the house are:

1. QJ's 2 HDD (they took the time to unscrew it from the PC ...swt)
2. QJ's Wii (they didn't take the infrared emitter sensorbar..doh) and Wii games
3. 2 of my bags...the larger ones (so I have to get a new bag now...koff koff alasan!)
4. QJ's wireless mouse USB receptor (not the mouse....zzzz)
5. My body shop 'Moonflower' perfume (for fcks sake its a lady's perfume!)
6. My almost new Pantene shampoo
7. QJ's facial wash
8. Hair dye I bought for QJ (its bloody dark dark brown...shud have bought black! if itu pun mau..diu la)
9. My hairdryer that my dad bought me :(
10. QJ's Smirnoff Vodca (left 1/3 ...should have replaced them with racun tikus)
11. Our Singapore MRT cards (which was in our passport...which were safe)
12. QJ's Nokia charger and my old spoiled Nokia handphones (thanks for helping me dispose them)
13. My old worn out wooden spatula =,=;;;;;;;!
14. Old notes and coin that were in my coin box
15. Our modem+wireless router

Things my housemates lost:

1. Navin lost a pair of shirt and pants...um...I think
2. Razzman's 1/2 bottle of 2L Ribena =,=

There's prolly more that we haven't realised...but w/e la....further precautions (definately sending all our PCs for safekeeping during weekends and hols that we're not around...call it paraoia) and changed the damned backdoor again (its as yellow as Courts Mammoth now)....its such a shame cuz I love this house very much...its awfully cozy and the landlords are awsome folks to boot. Ever so friendly and helpful...

The best part of all this....when the cops came over when we made a police report....My friend asked them "Encik, nak ambik fingerprint tak?"

Their reply was: "Tak boleh...terlalu berhabuk." (translation: "Cannot...its too dusty.")

Hail Malaysian policemen. Malaysia Boleh. It's no wonder all these criminals are so bold nowadays...even snatching handbags in broad daylight. The only times crimes like these are highlighted is when the cops themselves get assaulted or better still, tied and robbed in their own house.

Barely floating on a flooded week

This has gotta be the most packed week in my life in uni. 4 assignment datelines + FYP presentation to rush in a week (or rather 2-ish)...in midst of 2 lab sessions, and a lab report that I have yet to write...to hell la that will have to wait.

2 assignments down. 2 more...

TM's having a field day toying with my line too. Line's been dead twice in 2 weeks. Damn babi I tell you. For no freakin good reason it just simply...dies off. Shit! And twice it got me thinking that its my modem/router.

To make matters worse, the weather's so hot these days, it drives me nuts! It drive my PC nuts its been restarting whenever I'm out of the cuz the room fan's off. It drove QJ nuts, gave him fever...geh.

On another note...in the midst of this crazy week...I've been sleeping rather...healthily...I sleep around 8-10pm and wake up around 5am...siao wan....so now I'm trying to drag it a bit and maybe try sleep only at 12 cuz I can't stand sleeping right after dinner w/o doing anything at night...its a bit...sad.

Less 'meh' post will have to wait. Till then... :D

p/s: today, 2 diff ppl commented that my BM's pretty good for a chinese...kekeke...

Facebook: the Friendster syndrome?

I didn't jump onto the bandwagon when Facebook first started. To me, I thought facebook was just another thing like Friendster...and boy i hated that site. It was full of spam and messiness and..ugh. It didn't feel like a place to catch up and share things with your friends...it felt like a place you pimp up your front page and show off how bling it can be (at least for some people)....I stopped using friendster not too long after I started. It got too annoying and pointless.

Not long after I joined facebook, I quickly got to liking it. It was clean and smart...no junkie (if you don't count the 'games' applications they provide...haha) and it was the perfect way to keep in touch with your old friends. I found so many of my old classmates back in Sungai Petani in Facebook. It was nice seeing what they do now. Some have really grew to be really pretty butterflies. It was a nice feeling.

Then facebook had a facelift. While I kinda liked how it was still clean and somewhat less clunky...I hated the fact that I'm getting a lil too much feeds on the updates I get on the 'home' page. Don't get me wrong, I do like to know wats going up with my friends' lives but...that's not the only thing I'm seeing on the page. Day by day, I was getting more and more notifications from all those quiz applications. "xxx just took the yyy quiz and the result is zzz" ....sometimes I wake up in the morning and I get 10 feeds on a single friend about these quizzes. Oh gee. I'm on facebook wanting to know about your life. About what you define yourself...NOT how these applications define you!...I get so much of these spam that most of the time I had to click the "Older posts" link to see earlier updates...only to see more of the spam.

Facebook probably only added this recently (either that or I never thought of blocking these apps sooner)...they have a 'Hide' button beside the post feed on your 'home'...click on it...and you can either choose to block entries from this friend, or simply hide updates from this application in the future. Great! This is just what I needed....only thing is...with so many of these applications running around, I'll have to be blocking every single one of them one by one. Way to go.

Oh and don't get me started on the tagging fad.

I guess what QJ said was right when I told him I feel that Facebook is turning into the next Friendster. Its not Facebook turning into the next friendster....its Facebook users turning into Friendster users.

Disconnected

I hate it when I don't have internet connection.

Its different when I'm going somewhere knowing full well that I won't be having internet...but its another thing when you're expecting the net to be there...and its not.

Dunno wat the hell is wrong this time. DSL light's not there (not good)...tried to call TM a few times and their bloody operators are ALWAYS busy (the answering machine was set to say that all the operators are busy, the moment i got connected to their customer interaction...bullshit)...and something tells me something might just be wrong with the modem (although strangly there's no rain or lightning before all this crap happened). Even strange is that Lisa's modem ALSO had the same 'reaction' just 2 days earlier...lucky for them they got their modem changed by TM eventho their warranty was over (those bastards wouldnt wanna change it for me when mine rosak last time...@%!!)...it would SUCK if we need to buy a new modem for no reason all of a sudden. We bought it barely a year ago and yes its still under warranty but with assignments and FYP dateline looming, I simply cant afford the wait.

Bah.... <.<>..thanks TM for your 'owhsum' service (sarcasm)

Mlk-KL in 6 hours

No Kidding. We left home at around 1+pm. Had lunch. Got onto Bustuah and made a HUGE detour around MITC (oh they changed the damned route AGAIN)...reach Sentral about 5 mins before 3 just in time to get tix for 3pm bus. Got to KL around 5+pm at Sungai Besi tol...reached Pudu only around 6+ due to massive jam left right and centre. Bought some stuff at Guardian and headed for the train to Bangsar. Sis was supposed to pick me up but due to the crazy jam, she wasn't even able to get near to the station so I had to go back myself (should have gone Mid Valley then...shop till she's free to come pick me up...dammit regret...could have gotten the Lee Kum Kee ma po tofu sauce which can't be found anywhere we tried...gee!)...my super insensitive Touch'n Go (which cant be read eventho I had the card facing the reader while it was in the wallet's front pocket) gave me so much trouble, made me go to Kelana Jaya to fix it only to have problem again when I came back to Taman Bahagia and nearly drove me NUTS! (OH WHAI ARE YOU SO SO STUPID OH TOUCH N NO GO?!!!) ....happily got out of the train station to be greeted by sight of long queue for bus and the bus at the station that refused to move. The lights were off and all and we ended up waiting untikl 8.30pm for the goddamned freakin bus to move (the first person in queue had waited since before 7pm wtf?) THIS is the kinda service you provide us during peak after office hours! On a freakin FRIDAY! gawddamit. If only those politicians (who only know how to talk crap in the parliament) were forced to stand in line with us too...that would be a sight!

What was more puzzling was that, when our stupid bus finally moved its fat ass...it was the same bus that we thought was out of order earlier..and there was another 625 bus behind it! And it didn't bother to come pick us up earlier either!...and the queue had grown so long (about 8m long? shrug) and our bus just hauled us all up...jampacked sardine....while the other bus just scuttle off to god knows where...Could have shared the load right? Oh nooo...gotta maximize earnings (bastards). Saitei! End up reach home only at 9pm.

And just last week I was enjoying super efficient train system in Singapore...it was really...really... 'heaven and hell' of a difference.

Wake up la stupid gov...zzz

The girls in my family

Having a family of 3 girls a 1 boy...my father made sure that all her girls were well equipped with the knowledge to know how to handle things by themselves. From fixing minor pipe leakage, replacing lightbulb/tubes or the fuse...to how to take care and maintain the car. When each of us are ready to drive, he'd make sure each and everyone of us know the basic things to check: brake oil, engine oil, battery and radiator water. Also to make sure all 4 tires are nicely filled with air and that the spare one is also filled and ready to be used at all times. That being said, he also made sure we all know how to change tires. He'll show it to us once, and then ask us to do the whole process while he guides us when we're not sure how to proceed.

And for that...I thank him and I'm forever greatful for that knowledge.

Because I can't stand it when anyone who owns and drives a car...goes "What's that?" when I ask if he checked the radiator water lately...or pumped the tyres...or anything like that....especially guys. I know all that and I dun even own a car so you have NO excuse whatsoever that you don't know the basic things you SHOULD know. If your dad doesn't teach you, ask him...otherwise there's always the car manual that will teach u all those stuff...or paling teruk oso ask the mechanic la...they're sure to know.

Because seriously...if you don't know how to take care of your car (or don't even bother to get it to be taken care of), then you don't deserve to own it.

Petrol down, price up?

Yesterday, most Malaysians greeted the news of the further 10cent/litre 'discount' of petrol and diesel. I wasn't directly affected but hey, my sis' is happy she gets more petrol for the amount she pays for so yay!

Usually I'd pack lunch to the office, or tapau sumthing from the train station but these days we either wake up too late to make breakfast or sis will directly to the station. Anyways, the usual stall I buy from seems to have gone for a long holiday since Raya Haji the other day :P ....so I took the chance to go out makan with my colleagues.

The last time I ordered from that particular stall, I remember the noodle dishes being RM4.50 but when my order of hokkien fried noodle came, the lady asked for RM5. WAT THE FUCK! A bit celaka isn't it? The price goes up 50cents/plate the same day petrol and diesel price went down by 10cents/litre. Diu la....RM5 fried noodles at home can feed a family of 3 liao ok? Lucky it tastes good...else damn celaka mannnn...

Thank goodness we cook our own meal at night ;)

September 15, 2008

And there I was...

...worrying my ass off that I can't do my part for the group assignment...worried that I'd contribute too little...

..when majority of my group member hardly did a thing on the current phase of the assignment. My group leader has his FYP presentation this Wed so he cant commit till then...ok fine..that I understand.....but that bastard...he has some nerves to tell me he hasn't even finished downloading the virtual machine (the very first step of this phase of the assignment)...

DUDE!! You could have asked from your classmates! And even after you've downloaded the damn software then what? Sit and wait for us to feed you the solutions? There's tonnes of tools to download still you know? And even after you downloaded them, you still need to figure out how the hell to use them...and what to do with them...you need time to get familiar with all those softwares! Its barely a week before dateline and at the rate you're crawling....I think you'd only be done with your share of work next year...and you dun even have FYP to worry about!

DON'T you bloody dare tell me you're sick yesterday...I was working my ass off on the assignment whole weekend. I did not celebrate Mid Autumn Festival....no playing with lanterns watever (when you STILL had time for those)...Sick so what? It doesnt take much for you to turn on the PC and start the download with your browser. Sick noneed points for ur assignment ade la hor? Zzzzzzz

I'm gonna go ask my lect for tips tmr. Good luck with your part of the assignment. I hope he'll ask you how you 'did' your part for the group during the presentation and you have no idea how to demonstrate it.

Idiot.

Obstacle Course

Going to (and back from) campus is a bit of an obstacle course if you live near my place.

Why? Well the slope, for one. But that's actually a breeze when you go to campus. The worse thing recently....is the dog poop around the area.

The goddamned dogs have taken the liberty, to make it more challenging for the ppl here to get their butts to campus. The back alley is randomly 'marked' with a small pile of dog poop. So if you're not alert enough or careful enough or you suck in maneuvering your bike, you get 'tagged'. With shit.

Wish the municipal council will do sumthing about these wild dogs. They never seem to be able to get rid of them all. Those sneaky 4-legs will always somehow manage to survive. Most probably by seeking refuge in MMU itself. Zzzz.....

And just today...there's a new obstacle: diapers. OMG SO BLOODY DISGUSTING...ARGH.....

So yea...watch your steps if you wanna come my place...heh.

Gimme back my hall!

I haven't been home since the last sem break (cuz I went Langkawi during midterm break with my friends...wakakaka) so a lot must have changed here since I was last back here.....dad pasang the auto-close gadget on the door of the back room...bro's new office almost done renovation...there's a few new shelves in my room and my thing's been shifted around...a bunch of new shops near Tesco area...other than dat....

My house is still as messy as ever. My line's as sucky as ever. Fifi still stinks..but cute. The bloody pothole near the entrance to my lorong is STILL there...gawddamit. The garden's still flourishing. Hot shower still just as nice...hehe...food's good....bla bla bla....

I rarely go out town unless I have errands to run. Just the other day on the way back from the bus station, we drove past our local sports centre...where our local municipal hall is. To my surprise and utter shock....the ground was...flat. I mean...the hall wasn't where it was supposed to be! Wadafak! WHO THE HELL DEMOLISHED THE HALL?!!

I had fond memories of that place..beside the hall there's this small area where I trained Taekwondo intensely during my secondary school days. 2-3 times a week...felt so great then. And the hall was where I took many of my gradings....including my black belt grading. Sob ....gawddamit. Why the heck did they have to demolish such a useful building?

Apparently they wanted to build a stadium there. We already have a hockey field behind there and now they wanted a stadium....

HAHAHAHAHAHA....

Idiots. Don'cha think its a bit of an overkill to have a stadium in SP? There's a huge stadium in Alor Star. Wanna do football or watever...go there lerrr...sheesh.

Here's the best part. Apparently, the building was demolished 3 days before the March General Election....

BN Lost that area...and the state as well.

Sigh. My poor dewan. Stupid stupid ppl with stupid stupid agenda for their stupid stupid personal interest...grrr

May 31, 2008

The days to come...

Yeah yeah...i haven't been updating the past 2 months....WoW keeping me busy :P ...besides, there's finals and assignments and BBQ parties and etc etc....haha......

Hols are here again....and once again I'm split up between feeling gleeful for the free time I get off studies, and feeling down and depressed cuz I dun get to see QJ for 2-3 weeks.....sigh...worst of all already being so accustomed to being around him almost all the time back in Malacca this past sem....it really doesn't help.

This time around....it's prolly worse. Once sem starts....it wun be 'back together again'....cuz QJ has to do his industrial training (starting this Mon, actually)....so i'll only be seeing him on weekends at the most....and IF I have enough credit hours, I'LL be doing my industrial training in sem 2....so its like....we wun be seeing each other much for 2 fuckin whole sems....gee. But of course, that depends on where I get to do my training. I did apply for Penang, KL and Mlk.....I might just end up sumwhere nearer...hee. Dun ask me how I'm gonna get to work if I got Mlk...I'm still thinking (public bus anyone?)

Anyways....I've fully moved to 391D...Its a nice cozy place, really. I love it. NOT the unwelcomed visitors tho....and we have a lot of those...sigh. Anyways, QJ and I took Amran's car and loaded 2 trips worth of my junkies, and moved it to his place. Took me 2 whole days to sort things out. Threw out like 4 boxes of stuff...threw a heap of old clothes...rearranged my shelf....really drastic change before and after packing (ask amran...he wanna pengsan when he saw the living room with my junkies at first.....LOL)..

Been thinking of how I'll be spending my time next sem when QJ's not around....meals would be like back in the 'singles' days....so....dejavu? lol. Was thinking to myself (hehe..I'll be cooking for one again....can cook fish and porridge and weird weird stuff again)...been planning on weekends that I'd spend with QJ...what I'd wanna cook....ahh....small little nice things to look forward to, I guess.

Next sem, with him not around....Mmmmmmmmm....I'll be taking his room into my own hands... /evilgrins ....gonna change things a bit....move things around...throw some things (his table is...a mess...you cant see the surface LOL!) ....

Somehow...a little part of me wish to skip these whole 2 sems quickly and just jump into sem 3 when we'll be together again.....sigh.

p/s: I've got tonnes of photos to sort...I know. And I didn't bring my HDD back with me this time..haha....pointless as my casing seem to have died on me already and I'm lazy to test out my old casing to see if it still works...ah well less weight to carry back home.

pp/s: Achievements during the holiday so far: I finally friggin finish a game on my DS Lite! Dr. Layton!...Nyahaha....really nice game.

ppp/s: Missing you always my dear.

Just when I thought I could breathe

No its not about the flu. Its getting better and I can (physically) breath with no problem already, thank you.

I'm talking bout 'school-stuff'. U know....uni student 'things-u-need-to-face-everyday'...and since its sem 2, it goes 'things-u-need-to-face-even-more-frequent-everyday' cuz everything's short and every bloody lecturer tries to cram everything into 2 months. Fantastic.

One of the core subject I'm taking this sem wants us to make a compiler. The lecturer for the first part of the subject was very casual, relaxed and flexible. I like it that way but his class schedules annoy me a bit sometimes. But hey, no complains for my freeing up mah schedule.

When we asked him about assignment, he kinda assured us, "Ahh...my assignment usually only due week 7-8." At that point, he has yet to upload the assignment. Citing MMLS has problems uploading annoucement/stuffs, he asked us to grab it from our counterparts. Sure, no prob with me.

The moment we went clicking on their assignment page, we all went white. The assignment consists of 2 parts. Part 1 is due in a week time. WTF!!!~ And the thing is, we have NO IDEA how to do it. (the damn thing even requires us to run in Linux, FFS! Albeit, more secure for sure)....

Just when I thought I have time to breath when I'm done with all my midterms and crucial lab reports (2 more labs to go tho...simple ones methinks).

I miss those days when assignments are all based on 'tutorial-ish' approach. U do question. U dunno. U ask/*coughcoughcopy*...nowadays assignments are mostly, if not all, research based. That mean you're utterly screwed if you don't have stable net. W00t! One of my assignment wants us to design a PN-Junction, and the other wants me to find out about....Control Unit and Multi Core processor...mmm...managable. Work in group of 4 when I don't even know a single soul (save one but 'bless him', NO!) in my tutorial group. HA HA!...not funny. Screw it all. All that mini-researching, I can do myself...I think.

....mmm...wow. I'm actually very certain of what I have to do with my assignments. LOL~! Good change I suppose. Hope it sticks :P It better.

On a totally different note, Amran, Quj and myself went Jusco and I saw the usual "Back to School" items on sale on their (very small) concourse area. Now, I don't go to Jusco that often but I DO specifically remember that they were selling Christamssy stuff just about 2 weeks ago, when we ate at Nandos with Mike and How. I was 'autopiloted' there by default but Quj spotted me in time to drag me back, and covered my visor-...I mean eyes. He swiftly dragged me away.

....damn. I WANT MY CHRISTMAS TREE T.T

Back to my point. I poked Quj and asked, "Eh...Christmas first or school starting first aa??"....cuz IIRC, back in my days (I sound old...), it was definitely Christmas, THEN whip yer asses back to schools. Quj replied that that's still the way it is now. So....why when kids just kicked their holiday-ing gears to move, are they gonna get stressed up about going back to school so soon?!!~! Yes I'm TOTALLY against that cuz as a kid, I absolutely HATED these sales. Of course they remind me of going back to school! Heck, I remember the times when my bloody holiday just started and I go shopping with my family. Guess what I saw? BACK TO SCHOOL (my ass....)....SERIOUSLY give us a break..shesh!

Some of you may defend yourself saying "Ooo...I love those times...can get new stuff" etcetcetc...U see, mum hardly gets us anything new. Anything that can re-use, use it. That goes for shoes (oh the times I crave for that trendy black one), stationery, bag...mm but uniform memang stick same one la cuz I was prefect then. Can't buy those off the shelf. I never had my own new full set of color pencils. So it was pretty ironic when I got a whole set of 24(or more..?) Steadler (water) color pencils that I crave so much as a kid, when I was already about to graduate from schooling life. Schooling life, as in that primary-secondary school type la....like they say: we humans never cease to stop learning...sigh. I gave the set to my eldest sister who has this fantabulous talent at art. She drew a frog using those color pencils. It looked very...real. Wait la got chance I ask her to take out the pic and I take photo of it...

A lengthy post. Mmm...for once (after such a long while) I think I've written sumthing 'solid' here. Hah.

p/s: Posted around 6am, and for once its not cause I haven't slept. I actually slept at 9 and woke up at 4am. Healthy? haha!
pp/s: I'm cooking this Sun. XD
ppp/s: I'm hungry...<.< /goes cook

Not being home...

Not being home most of the time has its....side effects. I can't tell for sure if its actually a good or bad thing but....

....you tend to forget how bloody awful and sucky your own internet line is. The moment anyone torrents (or mass torrents sumthing), net surfing is pretty much out of the question. Even direct downloads from fast servers are a pain. 0.75kbps for sumthing you usually get at 127.5kbps...!!? ....preposterous.

Sigh. Damn you TM.
